The Japan Jewellery Fair is the largest jewellery exhibition to be held in the second half of the year. Taking place in Tokyo in early autumn, JJF is ideally timed for jewellery stock purchasing for the year-end season by retailers and wholesalers.




In 2006 the Japan Jewellery Fair grew by 50% both in terms of exhibit space and the number of professional visitors. In 2007 the fair increased in size again and was the largest size ever held. This remarkable expansion reflects the buoyant state of the jewellery market in Japan and the Japan Jewellery Fair's high appraisal as Japan's premium quality jewellery event.




The Japan Jewellery Fair is organised by CMP, producers of Asia's leading jewellery exhibitions and publications, and co-organised by the Japan Jewellery Association. Participation in JJF is essential if you wish to expand your sales to the Japan market

The 16th in the series of international exhibitions for the Middle East's fine jewellery and luxury watch market is set to take place 13 - 17 November 2007 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.



The Arab's passion for fine jewellery has created the world's largest and most dynamic jewellery market worth more than US$30 billion a year. Demand for jewellery ranges from simple gold designs for everyday wear, through to exclusive and customised pieces for social and festive occasions.



Jewellery Arabia, now established as the biggest and most prestigious jewellery exhibition in the Middle East, provides international jewellery houses with direct access to jewellery trade buyers and private collectors from throughout the Arab World.





Bahrain is the ideal location for jewellery Arabia. its physical connection to Saudi Arabia the region's single largest jewellery consumer and its position at the hub of Arab Gulf trade makes it the natural gateway to the Arabian jewellery market.

Review Jewellery Arabia 2006



Jewellery Arabia 2006 attracted an all time record number of 40,113 jewellery trade buyers and private collectors, during the 5 day show, held from 7-11 November, marking a substantial 14% increase in visitors over the 2005 event.

Visitors
drawn from Saudi Arabia, the region’s single largest Jewellery market, accounted for 32% (13,155) of total visitors with significant support also coming from Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and other neighbouring countries.

Widely regarded as the
largest and most prestigious jewellery and watch exhibition in the Middle East, the fifteenth show in the series covered the entire 16,000 square metres of available space at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.

Due to high demand exhibition
organisers Arabian Exhibition Management also commissioned two temporary structures to accommodate additional exhibitors.

National pavilions from leading jewellery export countries including Brazil, Greece, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Thailand and Turkey contributed to a total of 500 exhibiting companies from 28 countries.

The latest high quality jewellery collections and luxury watches from world famous jewellery houses
including Cartier, Chopard, De Beers, Graff Diamonds, Harry Winston, Patek Phillipe, Piaget, Van Cleef & Arpels and many more also went on display - consolidating Jewellery Arabia’s reputation as the region’s most prestigious jewellery event.

A strong Lebanese and GCC contingent drawn from the region’s most exclusive jewellers complimented this line up.

Amongst them were Bahrain’s leading jewellers -– Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Asia Jewellers, Taqi’s Jewellery, Mouawad, Al Mahmood Pearls and Al Ezz – who brought
together stunning collections of international brands in boutique formats.

His Highness the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Shaikh Khalifa bin
Salman Al Khalifa performed the official opening ceremony on 7 November and toured the exhibition of luxury watches; diamond, gem-set, platinum, gold and silver jewellery; retail packaging, merchandising material, and jewellery manufacturing machinery and technology.

For the first time in the 15 year history of the series, Jewellery Arabia 2006 also incorporated the
first Middle East Pen & Writing Accessories exhibition, Pen Arabia 2006.

Held in a special dedicated pavilion at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, Pen Arabia 2006 featured a wide range of the most exceptional pens both recent and vintage.

Participants included the Aquila Group, Cartier, Chopard
and Caran d’Ache, Omas, Waterman, S.T. Dupont and Tibaldi. Jewellery Arabia 2006 also saw the launch of Arabian Watches & Jewellery (AWJ) Television presented by Dania Khatib, the popular Lebanese television personality and singer.

Visitors and exhibitors received continuous coverage on this landmark exhibition including business perspectives; expert comments; trends and interviews from senior industry
professionals via numerous screens set up throughout the exhibition centre.

Elsewhere the Ritz Carlton Hotel Bahrain witnessed the
return of the Middle East Watches, Jewellery and Pen Awards hosted by Arabian Watches and Jewellery Magazine.

Held
under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Commerce H.E. Dr. Hassan Fakhro, during the ceremony the chairman of Arabian Exhibition Management Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa received an award on behalf of Jewellery Arabia 2006 for the leading event of its kind in the Middle East.

The attendance of numerous famous personalities throughout the show including Arab singing legend Wadih El Safi
and pop stars Wael Kfoury and Nelly Maqdesi also generated considerable visitor interest. Jewellery Arabia’s continued expansion in both participant numbers, visitor attendance and quality merchandise, as well as its innovative approach in line with market trends are testimony to the exhibition’s significance as the international jewellery showcase for the region.
